Drug and alcohol testing for aviation
Onsite drug and breath alcohol testing for aviation organisations, with kits certified to the Australian Standards.
In aviation, drug and alcohol testing isn’t optional. Under Part 99 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, organisations whose people perform safety-sensitive aviation activities need a Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP), and testing is part of it.
Choosing kits for your DAMP
- Urine cups certified to AS/NZS 4308, such as VinScreen, certified to the 2023 version of the standard.
- Saliva tests certified to AS/NZS 4760:2019, such as the SalivaTracer range: quick to collect airside, and they show recent use.
- Fuel cell breathalysers for accurate breath alcohol readings before duty.
Good to know
Check which standard your plan names, and make sure the kits you buy are certified to it: the standard is printed on each product page. A result that isn’t negative is a screening result only, so it goes to a laboratory for confirmation, and we supply urine confirmation kits for this.
Confirm your own obligations under your DAMP and with CASA. For help choosing kits, talk to our team or ask our AI Agent.
