Drug testing for rehabilitation centres
Onsite drug and alcohol tests for rehabilitation and AOD (alcohol and other drug) programmes, including the opioids standard panels miss.
Most onsite test kits are built for workplace testing. They detect opiates such as heroin and morphine, but not many of the opioids clients in AOD programmes actually use. A negative opiates result doesn’t rule out fentanyl, oxycodone, buprenorphine or methadone. Read more in Opiates vs Opioids in Rehab & AOD Drug Screening.
Tests that cover opioids
- Urine cups with buprenorphine, methadone and oxycodone, such as the NxStep 9 Panel + Alcohol.
- Single-drug dip tests for fentanyl and oxycodone.
- Saliva tests: SalivaTracer 9 MB (buprenorphine and methadone) and SalivaTracer 9 KF (fentanyl and ketamine).
Monitoring alcohol
A breathalyser only shows alcohol in the body now. An EtG test detects ethyl glucuronide, which alcohol leaves in urine for some time after drinking, so it can show recent use when the breath is clear.
Every programme is different. Our team can help you build the right panel, and bespoke kits are available on request.
